A 'no cracker' rally was organised to spread awareness about the harmful effects crackers can cause. Most importantly, we aimed to highlight the plight of young children who have to work in factories rather than acquiring education at school. Petitions were signed and a nukkad natak accompanied the rally.
"My family wasn't rich enough to send me to school, but still they made every possible attempt to make it possible for me to get proper education. Finally, I was able to go to a government school, though its hygienic standards were not very high still that was all we could afford. Getting me admitted to school, I thought, had taken away a major burden off my parent's head. But who knew that it is where the main problem started, I was diagnosed positive for diarrhoea. And because of my treatment I had to leave my schooling in between. A mere chance at schooling turned out to be a cursed boon."
